OBJECTIVES: 1. The students will be able to play band literature with good tone, and intonation. 2. The students will be able to play melody and harmony parts in band literature with accurate pitch rhythm, articulation, and dynamics.
MATERIALS: 1. Various band instruments, music stands, and chairs. 2. Various band music selections. 3. Chromatic tuner and metronome. 4. Instrument Music Lesson by Mr. Long.
TEACHING PROCESS: Teaching a Clarinet Sectional Rehearsal Warm-Up 1. Discuss the following points to the clarinet students:
Instrumental Music Lesson 3. Collect Instrument Music Lesson sheets from individual students.
Rehearse Band Music 3. Rehearse selected band music as necessary to improve the following musical aspects:
Assessment: 1. The students are able to play band literature with good tone, and intonation. 2. The students are able to play melody and harmony parts in band literature with accurate pitch rhythm, articulation, and dynamics.
